The Home Page module provides a dashboard view and quick links to important items in other modules along with the To Dos widget.
Key Performance Indicators (by Turn-In Date)
Displays important information about sales and installation for Today, Yesterday (YDA), Month To Date (MTD) and Year To Date (YTD). This information is identical to information in the reports module.*
For managers, this widget displays statistics for the entire store. When Sales Reps view their home page, they see only their personal sales numbers, not what managers see. When an additional option is enabled, Sales Reps can also view upcoming installs and service appointments. See Home Options below for more information.
*Windows sold is derived from both Windows Sold and Specialty Windows sold, as shown on the Sales Summary By Turn-In Date report. Doors Sold is derived from Patio Doors, Storm Doors, Entry Doors and Garage Doors sold on the Sales Summary By Turn-In Date report. Revenue is taken from the Contract Sales Totals on the Sales Summary By Turn-In Date report. Leads Set is derived from the Leads Set Summary by Source report and Leads Run is derived from the Leads By Sales Rep report. Installs Set is a filter result of Installation Appointments having a status of Set or Tenative within the selected range.
The Key Metrics widget links to filters in other modules. Clicking on a Key Metrics link will load the module where the filter was created and display the filter results. Filters are preset database queries and are used to extract information stored in your MetricWise database. When you create a filter, you can select List in Key Metrics and it will be displayed here. Examples include Sales and Install appointments needing results, next day appointment confirmations, contracts on hold and leads run.
The Home Page module contains a To Dos widget which displays links to all assigned To Dos that have not been completed. A To Do is a task assigned to a user that is different from a sales or install appointment. To Do's are not listed on the Sales or Installation calendars. To access a To Do from the widget, click on any link under the Subject column. For more information on To Dos, refer to the chapter titled "Appointments and To Do's".
Altering the appearance:
The layout of widgets can be altered two different ways. To change the number of columns displayed , access the icon labeled "Change Layout" located below the navigation menus. Choose the number of columns to be displayed.
To change the contents of each column, use the mouse to drag and drop the widgets into the desired columns.
Altering the number of items displayed:
The number of items displayed within the widgets can be increased or decreased. Click the icon resembling slide controls in the upper righthand corner of the widget and select the number of items to be displayed; click Save or Cancel. For some widgets, the filter results may excede the number of records selected to display. If so, a More link is accessible; clicking the More link will load the related module and display a full list of the filter results.
Scroll bars to control horizontal and vertical movement are presented when the link labeled Scroll is accessed within each widget.
Upcoming Installs and Services
An optional widget is available for Sales Reps. It is a view of Upcoming Installs and Service appointments associated with their sold jobs. Up to twelve scheduled appointments or services can be displayed. To activate this option, contact MetricWise Support.
